Each Oddities & Ember creation begins as a found treasure-a vintage vessel with a story whispered through time. Before it ever meets a flame, every piece is carefully tested for stability, heat resistance, and safety, ensuring it can cradle the warmth of your candle without harm.

Still, as with all enchanted curiosities, a gentle hand and mindful care are essential.

• Burn on a heat-safe surface.

• Keep away from drafts, children, and curious creatures.

• Never leave your flame unattended.

• Trim wick to 1/4" before each burn.

• Allow the wax to melt evenly across the surface and burn no longer than 3-4 hours at a time. 

• Discontinue use when approximately 1/4" of wax remains to protect the vessel.

​After the flame

When the last glow has faded, your vessel may be gently restored for its next chapter. 

• Allow the vessel to cool completely before handling.

• To remove the remaining wax, place the vessel in the freezer for 1-2 hours, then gently lift out the hardened wax.

• Wash with warm water and mild dish soap. Avoid abrasive scrubbers, as many vintage vessels carry delicate finishes. 

• Dry thoroughly before reuse or display.

​​Every vessel has passed our testing for safe candle use, but due to their antique and one-of-a kind nature, small variations may exist.
